The proximity of filling stations and bus stops appealed to travellers as did the wide choice of eateries in the surrounding blocks. Furthermore, there was a Greyhound bus station nearby. Drivers loved the ample free parking and the easy access to US Route 60, which made it straightforward to reach local attractions, airports, universities, sports arenas and downtown Phoenix. Theme park enthusiasts also welcomed the proximity of Golfland Sunsplash.

Not only did critics occasionally bemoan weak signal strength and sluggish speeds on this motel's Wi-Fi network, but also they disliked the way they had to pay extra in order to use it.
