As it is at the top of a cliff you are able to see for miles around and the hotel’s own grounds are beautiful. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the town centre and the beach. You can use it as a base to visit other towns and other attractions in the area such as Stonehenge or the New Forest.
The concierge staff are immensely helpful and friendly on arrival and departure. As it is a privately owned hotel the service is really good and you can see that the senior staff are very experienced and have worked there for a long time. This is reflected in the efficient way that the hotel is run.
The freshly cooked breakfasts are really tasty and will set you up for the day ahead. The bar menu which is available in the evening has a good choice of dishes available.
The lift is old and needs updating. The lights outside give the strange appearance of a nightclub and it is very dark inside which makes it quite difficult to read the numbers.
There are no gym facilities here, the beach is very close by so you could go for a brisk walk or a jog along the promenade if you want some strenuous activity.
Although the breakfast is very tasty and enjoyable there could be more choice available with fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt or Danish pastries offered alongside.
