Just to the north of the main seafront 'drag', Marine Lodge is far enough away to be privy to peace and quiet yet close enough to be within easy walking distance of everything you might want to see. Having the beach and pier so close by is a major bonus too.
Along with (some of) the guest bedrooms; the terrace, bar and restaurant all afford wonderful panoramic views across the sea. Top Tip: try and get up early one morning during your stay to watch the sun rise over the ocean – it is absolutely beautiful.

Despite a relatively recent refurbishment and some (really quite nice) contemporary touches, there are some parts of Marine Lodge that look and feel a little dated. Fortunately, the presence of some rather pretty Victorian features mitigates the impact of some of the hotel's less attractive aspects.
It is fair to say that residents here are made to pay a little over the odds for the privilege of eating and drinking on the premises. Happily, there are lots of cafés, restaurants, pubs and bars on Marine Parade/Regent Road proffering more competitively priced meals and drinks.
These relatively minor niggles are unlikely to spoil your holiday experience at what is, in the main, a really quite pleasant place to enjoy a few days beside the seaside.
