Positive Reviews

positive:

Lovely owners pull out all the stops

Practically everyone who's stayed here has raved about the super-friendly owners of this guesthouse. Evidently, this is a couple that really do go out of their way to proffer a warm welcome and create a tangible 'home from home' ambience.

positive:

Breakfast is a bit special

In addition to the lovely cooked-to-order full English breakfast, visitors are offered a large selection of cereal, yoghurt and croissants, and treated to a rather delightful ‘help yourself' fresh fruit platter of strawberries and melon, amongst other things. Unsurprisingly, very few guests have left this breakfast table feeling unsatisfied!

positive:

Very clean throughout

A great many visitors have been impressed by the pristine interiors within this hotel. The pristine guest rooms earned particularly high praise.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Interiors feel a little dated

Numerous guests have noted that the décor and furnishings here are, by and large, quite old-fashioned. The owners have declared that a slow yet steady refurbishment process is underway.

negative:

Showers aren't the best

Many visitors have noted that the showers here are somewhat lacking in pressure at times. In addition, some guests have also noted that the water temperature can veer from piping hot to freezing cold in an instant.

negative:

Quite far from the seafront

The walking distance to the beach (20 minutes) and the pier (25 minutes) was deemed just too far to be convenient for a good number of guests. Happily, the owners are able to call on (very swiftly, it seems) a very efficient local taxi service whenever the need arises.
