The hotel is located in the French Quarter yet it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle meaning that guests could enjoy peaceful and quiet evenings. Being only a short walk away from Bourbon Street, guests were able to reach all the attractions on foot as well as visit the local restaurants and cafes which were all within walking distance of the hotel.
Some of the rooms feature balconies and many said that sitting outside whilst admiring the views was the highlight of their stay. The courtyard and the garden complete with tropical plants has plenty of seating areas where guests can enjoy a few drinks in the shade or soak up the rays on the comfortable poolside loungers.
The front-desk staff have been described as approachable and helpful with many guests stating they were made to feel welcome and at ease. Many appreciated the help offered by the staff such as printing out maps and boarding passes as well as offering advice about the local area.
Some of the guests said that the decor in the rooms was rather tired and dated and objected to the old-fashioned furniture and upholstery which were said to be showing their age. Bathrooms were also said to be in need of modernisation with very basic fixtures and fittings.
