The hotel has been going undergoing renovation, and it's certainly an improvement. Tiled floors and better utensils and furnishings certainly makes your stay much more comfortable. Changing the name of the hotel has given it a new life as well. The linens are clean and they did a nice job in the bathrooms too.
There are plenty of stores and restaurants on the strip near the hotel. There is also a diner across the street that provides decent meals for reasonable prices. It's great for families.
The owner of the newly named establishment takes the whole new hotel concept and visitor courtesy very seriously. You really feel welcomed. Moreover, the owner has a modest and friendly demeanor.
Don't be surprised to see a cockroach or two running around your room. However, this may only be temporary as the renovation may have brought out all types of critters like ants.
The Wi-Fi is the pits. It doesn't stay connected and is pretty much useless. Hopefully, this situation will be remedied once the renovation is completed.
There is still plenty that needs to be done at the hotel. You may discover that your air conditioning is leaking, slippery stairs, and so on. On top of that, there is no breakfast and there's little in the vicinity that you can actually walk to.
