Luke's restaurant is a popular place to eat and many guests in their reviews mentioned the spectacular food. Equally guests commented that they enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable and atmospheric space.

As one of New Orleans first skyscapers and a former Grand Masonic temple the building is steeped in history and Hilton has preserved many original and historic features of the building. A number of previous guests commented on their appreciation for the preservation efforts.

Some guests had a very bad experience during their stay due to the old air-conditioning units which consistently broke down. The hotel accommodated all requests to move rooms or was able to fix the units so that guest comfort was maintained.

A number of guest reviewers mentioned very similar experiences with poor maintenance which they experienced during their stay. The majority of complaints were about the moldy bathrooms, lack of water and poor water pressure, faucets not working or dripping and the lack of ventilation in bathrooms.

Some guests expressed their disappointment at having to pay an additional fee for parking through the valet service as there is no self-park option on-site. Guests mentioned that there are other cheaper self-park options within the vicinity of the hotel.
