Remodelled by the Duke of Westminster in the 1800s, former Georgian coach house, Hotel Grosvenor Arms, Shaftesbury, is a fine Dorset hotel, in a great central Shaftesbury location. Rooms at the hotel are equipped with en-suite, coffee machine, iPad dock and flat screen TV’s. Beds are large doubles or kingsize, and two of the rooms have original fireplaces. The Hotel Grosvenor Arms boasts a grand original assembly room, sitting up to 60 and private dining rooms. Free Wi-Fi is accessible as are daily newspapers, guest can even treat themselves to a facial. Guests enjoy drinks and food at the bar, from the deli and in the courtyard-open all day, with the restaurant open for lunch and evening meals. The wood burning stove is a nice touch for those who enjoy pizza. Set 100 metres from Gold Hill (from the Hovis advert,) Saxon hillside fort, The Abbey and The Gold Hill Museum, or slightly further afield the Cranborne Chase, Larmer Tree Gardens and castles.
