Hotel Globales Acis & Galatea (Madrid, Spain)

This was perhaps guest's favourite feature of the hotel. The nearest metro station, Canillejas, is described as a 10-minute stroll from the hotel, and guests say that it is about a 30-minute ride into the heart of Madrid. Given their room-rate and the facilities offered, many felt having a relatively long metro ride was a small price to pay.

Many guests were either using the hotel for a quick airport layover, or when attending events at the IFEMA trade fair grounds. The hotel provides a free shuttle to these venues, and guests were very impressed with its efficiency, and grateful they didn't need to use a taxi.

While some did have issues with internal noise, many remarked that the surroundings were very quiet. Noise from cars, or revellers passing by on the street, were not mentioned at all.

It seems that the rooms do not have any tea or coffee making facilities in them. It's unclear whether these are available from room service 24/7, but even if they were, many guests would simply have preferred to make their own quick hot beverage with a minimum of fuss.

Quite a number of guests mention that there really is not much in the immediate surroundings. No good shops, no nice restaurants and so on. While most liked the hotel itself they felt a bit trapped. To get somewhere decent they'd have to take a taxi or metro ride.

While not often mentioned, some guests did find that they could hear the goings on in adjacent rooms and hallways at night. Of course this sometimes resulted in fitful sleep.
