Hotel Dom Schumannów (Gdańsk, Poland)

Dom Schumannów is located centrally in Gdansk's Old Town with many of the city's attractions being within walking distance. Sites such as King Arthur's Court, Neptune's Fountain, the Old Town Square and St. Mary's Church are within a three-minute walk.

The hotel is set in a charming historical building and the rooms are furnished with comfortable beds and period-style furniture. The rooms are clean, well presented, warm and cosy. Guests also commented on the beautiful and picturesque city views afforded from their windows.

The multi-lingual staff are friendly and helpful. There is also a tourist information desk on-site which provides local information and recommendations for restaurants in the area.

While charming, the building is also old and is not equipped with lift service. Some guests, particularly those with heave luggage, found it difficult to navigate their way up the steep and narrow stairs to the upper levels. Elderly guests or those with mobility issues are advised to book a lower floor room.

The central location does come with its drawbacks, as some guests found the noise from the main street to be loud and intrusive at times.

Breakfast is offered at a cafe opposite the hotel which received mixed reviews from guests. Some guests felt that the breakfast options were not varied enough and advised future guests to explore one of the many other local cafes and restaurants instead.
