The Crane (Gdańsk, Poland)

It’s a wooden port crane and dates as far back as 1367. Its present look dates to the middle of the 15th century. Inside you can see the wooden treadmill operated by humans stepping in it, and climb up to look out onto the river and see other parts of the machinery. There is also a gallery of boats from around the world in adjacent building covered by the same entrance price. Opening hours: Tuesday - Friday 10:00-15:00 Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10:30-15:30 CLOSED MONDAYS! Tickets: Adults - 6 PLN Concessions - 4 PLN Photographs and Video charge - 5 PLN There is also a combined ticket for the Granaries, Zuraw and s/y Soldek incl. ferry crossing Adults - 15 PLN, Concessions - 9 PLN Photography charge - 10 PLN Guided tours are organised and the charge for a tour in English or German is 20 PLN (group of less than 25 people).
