Hotel Club Simena (Girne, Cyprus)

Rooms are not the Ritz; however, they are pretty much up to standard and clean enough. If you aren't staying for long stretches, you will get along just fine.

The breakfast served at the hotel is satisfactory. You receive a variety of luncheon meats, olives, cheese, egg, coffee, and other beverages.

The bus stop is directly outside the hotel and the supermarket is close by and there are some great restaurants to visit. You will also find a couple of taverns over the road and a choice of swimming pools. One pool has huge slides, there is a children's pool, and a pool bar. Moreover, there are more than enough sunbeds.

You may find the hotel needs to increase maintenance around the facility. Faulty air conditioning, bathroom door handles falling off, toilets not flushing properly, and no water for a shower may be part of your experience during your stay. Don't be surprised if staff members don't have a clue as to what to do or who to contact.

Things like storage areas being used where they shouldn't be, like at the bar in full view, is not pleasing to the eye. Chairs and tables piled up everywhere is not a good look.

The distance of the hotel from the main city takes at least a half-hour or more to get to. The facility is a bit far from the city centre and the hotel price is not cheap.
