The 4 star Cherubs Nest, Dartmouth, is a grade II listed former merchant’s house. It provides authentic bed and breakfast accommodation by the River Dart in south Devon. Cosy and individually decorated en-suite rooms at the Cherubs Nest, Dartmouth, include colour television, hairdryer and beverage making facilities. Wi-Fi and ironing facilities are also available. Crammed with shops, pubs and restaurants, Dartmouth is very flat. Only the very brave or foolhardy would think of driving to town based destinations and the fact that it is very flat means there is easy access for young and old.
This only allows you to park if spaces are available. More often than not, they aren’t; so it’s money down the drain.
In the 1700s, they didn’t demand the room space we expect today, so rooms are small. They’ve also had to cram in en-suites, so they seem even smaller. Cramped is the word.
All guests sit round one table at breakfast. A nightmare for those who aren’t conversationalists first thing in the morning.
