A family run bed and breakfast, as well as a working farm in the heart of Essex, Blatches Farm offers visitors an English farm experience. Rooms offered are double or single en-suite rooms, with free TV, Wi-FI, tea/coffee tray, and includes breakfast each morning. Linen and towels are provided. Large windows that look out onto the farm. Great for watching sunrises and sunsets. The hotel offers free parking, breakfast, and has its own fully stocked fishing pond, working farm with animals, beautiful woodlands, and a very active bird population. There is no restaurant at this facility, but a short trip into Great Dunmow has an offering of local cuisines. Many restaurants make homemade baked goods. Great Dunmow, Felsted, and Stebbing, were all originally Roman settlements. Many of these areas still have buildings that survive from this time. The Freeport Designer shopping village and the Colchester Zoo are also nearby.

Quiet, rural, and beautiful. Guests rave about how tranquil everything is and how comfortable they were. Most guests said they slept so well in the rooms and that it was the best rest they'd ever had in a bed and breakfast.
The facility's hosts make the breakfasts from all fresh ingredients produced right on the farm, and it is all you can eat. You won't go hungry when you stay here, that's for sure.
The hosts are warm and cheery, and each room, guests state, are spotless and impeccably clean. These are converted farm houses that have been made over into very comfortable cottages. You are greeted warmly at breakfast each morning by one or several of the farm's cats, who feel it is their personal duty to escort everyone in.
