While the hotel is located in an original and historic coaching inn with a 400 year history, all common spaces such as the bar area, restaurant and lounge areas are modern, with bright furnishings and a contemporary colour palette. Spaces are clean and inviting and there is a wonderful outdoor eating area perfect on summer days.

Saracens Head staff are very pleasant and display a warm and sunny disposition. Restaurant and bar staff are very efficient and service is generally fast. Cleaning staff are also approachable and ensure that little things like free tea and coffee are well-stocked in rooms.

The rooms located directly above the pub are quite open to the noise coming from either the patrons or the music on certain nights. Guests who need to catch early flights or light sleepers in general should try to book rooms well away from the pub area.

The hotel kitchen closes at quite an early time at night, making it difficult to get a good meal if arriving late. There are a variety of snacks available at the bar and nearby eateries that are open quite late.

It is important to note that the free onsite parking is a little bit on the small side and fairly tight, requiring that drivers pay close attention when parking or manoeuvring out of a spot so as not to cause any damage.
