This hotel is the perfect hideaway for those who are wanting to experience Shakespeare's legacy. The hotel is adjacent to several modes of transportation, including the train and the airport.

The hotel is run by a lovely couple and guests who stay here feel as if they are part of the family. Those staying with Arden are wakened each morning to the aroma of breakfast being cooked for them.

You can expect many extras that come free, or at a very low cost in comparison to some of the larger chain hotels. You will find snacks waiting for you in the refrigerator, as well as a kettle that has an ample supply of coffee or tea.

The hotel is an older home, so some of the plumbing and electrical are older too. Guests have remarked upon the inconsistency of the temperature of the water in the showers in the morning.

As a family run hotel many guests have complained that they were not offered the same courtesies as they were accustomed to in a larger hotel, especially in regards to charging for the room prior to the stay.

Almost all would agree that the downstairs rooms are not as nice as the upstairs rooms. The downstairs rooms are too close to the kitchen and as a result can be noisy.
