It's only a few minutes' walk from Blackpool North railway station (*the main one). The town centre attractions are a similar walking distance. The bar here, is well stocked and well priced so no need to hit the town centre as a matter of any urgency!
It's not everywhere that beds are changed daily with fresh towels supplied. Staff members are great; welcoming, informative and very friendly. Your stay here comes with a discount voucher, entitling you to a ‘whopping' saving on resort facilities … and there are plenty of them!
Showers can be little more than a dribble! It all comes down to the ‘height' of the building, location and the fact that everyone wants to use the shower at the same time. Nothing can be done; it's a fact of life. Just go with the flow!
Blackpool is undergoing massive investment in the promenade facilities, tram system and entertainment venues that are open throughout the year. It's disappointing, then, to come across accommodation that is dated and frankly, damp. Breakfast is fine but vegetarian requests throw a spanner in the works and the delay is monumental!
It's not a problem for those with rooms at lower floor level but, if you've got a ‘room at the top', be aware; it's a long climb with no lift … and very little water pressure!
