True to its name, the Glashaus Hotel is an extremely modern structure made mostly of glass. It's conveniently placed along the light rail transit line. Rooms have available high-speed Wi-Fi, televisions with satellite channels, hair dryers, tea and coffee making supplies and safes. Guests can request irons and ironing boards, too. The Glaushaus Hotel offers free underground parking, complimentary newspapers, a dry cleaning service and free Wi-Fi in reception. Meals are served throughout the day at the Café Bar. If desired, guests can eat on the terrace. The restaurant also offers a lunchtime option where guests can pre-book meals for takeaway. This hotel is a ten-minute drive from the Citywest Shopping Centre. Furthermore, guests can reach the picturesque and historical grounds of Kilmainham Gaol via a 35-minute ride on the light rail tram system. The Chester Beatty Library is under seven miles away.

Some guests were initially concerned that this hotel might be a little too far from Dublin's city centre. However, most found that fear was soon relieved, since the hotel is very near a light rail shop, making the overall journey almost hassle free.
This hotel serves some continental breakfast items, plus cooked-to-order fare if desired. No matter what they chose to eat, guests tended to be very impressed by how the food tasted and the way it was presented.
Guests travelling with cars loved that this hotel has an underground garage, and it's possible to park in it for free. Many guests opted to just leave their vehicles in the car park after check-in and used the light rail system to save fuel.
Some guests were upset that the rooms do not include refrigerators as standard amenities. In some cases, the disappointment was made worse when guests discovered the hotel is near a supermarket, because they remarked it would have been nice to keep drinks and chilled snacks in their rooms.
Guests didn't always seem to identify with the stylistic approach that was taken at this hotel. Although most agreed it was ultra modern, some also felt the rooms and reception area were so lacking in decoration that they were a little depressing.
Guests who were not familiar with the area frequently found they had trouble locating the hotel. If you have a GPS device, that may help, but some guests gave up even trying to use one of those and just called the front desk to request directions.
