If you love old world charm, then you will love this hotel. The owners of the hotel have maintained many of the Victorian era décor and architecture, and the grounds feature centuries old trees.
This is not the place for those who are staying for business purposes. Breakfast is served at 7:30am which is too late for most business travellers. For those checking in before 3pm, you will be out of luck. Check in will not be allowed until after 3pm.
Rooms are on the smaller side, even those with the King beds in them. But, those that stayed on the ground floor said that the mould on the windows had stained the curtains. Those with allergies to moulds should perhaps avoid ground floors.
This hotel caters to the coach tour circuit, so at any given moment there are herds of people coming through. You will be required to pay for your stay upfront before entering your room, and if you have a room over the staff quarters be prepared to stay awake.
