Royal Dornoch Golf Club is located in the shadow of the Scottish Highlands at the mouth of the Firth of Dornoch where it meets the North Sea. The club boasts two 18-hole seaside links, the Championship Course known as Royal Dornoch and the less well-known Struie Course. Nine holes of the Championship Course are attributed to “Old” Tom Morris. It received its charter as a “royal” course from King Edward VII in 1906. Royal Dornoch has a reputation as being one of Scotland’s finest and most beautiful courses, but its remote location means that it is not used as a venue for any major championship. The clubhouse includes a bar and a small lounge, and it welcomes visitors and as well as members. The Pro Shop serves as the point-of-contact for acquiring tee times, and it has a range of merchandise for golfers.
