Aquila Private Game Reserve (Touws River, South Africa)

The Aquila Private Game Reserve is located 10km west of Touwsriver, 2km off the N1 on the R46 to Ceres. It is the closest game reserve to Cape Town at approximately 140km from the International Airport. Facilities include a 250-seat restaurant, a cigar bar and pool bar, various bomas and a curio shop. Besides accommodation options, the Aquila offers a range of safaris and drives including such options as a horseback or quadbike safari. There is also a combination safari which includes breakfast, lunch, a 2-3 hour game drive and a 90-minute horseback safari to view Khoi San rock art. Another option is a Day Game Drive with hotel pickup at 06h00 in Cape Town and return at 16h30.
