The hotel is ideally located in downtown Duluth and is within walking distance of all that a guest would want or need. The shops and restaurants of Canal Park are numerous and include gourmet as well as budget choices. The hotel is also close to The Lakewalk, running along Lake Superior to the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center.

These suites far exceed standard hotel stays. The rooms are fully stocked with everything if guests want to stay in, plus the gorgeous views in some rooms are breathtaking and worth the visit. There are TVs in every room of the suite and some even have a fireplace.

The suites offer so much room and space that it can easily accommodate large groups, from family to business and even those weekends just for fun with friends. The suites have large bedrooms and many spacious common areas. Plus, the large pool downstairs and the multiple restaurants in the hotel means guests can stay close together.

The rates at this hotel are more expensive than some others in the area. You aren't paying for a hotel room, but a luxury suite. However, this hotel will really only be a good value for guests who want an extended stay or plan to fully use the suite and hotel amenities.

Customer service here isn't as high a rating as other business concerns, especially when reception and management have their attention elsewhere. When the hotel is busy, expect slow service. Also, unless concerns are an emergency, they likely won't be addressed.

Many of the rooms, especially interior rooms without windows, are very dark and have minimal lighting. Also, the pet friendly and smoking rooms are not separated from the general population so guests can expect to hear barking and to smell cigarettes throughout the building.
