They vary in size and shape, right up to a suite equipped with a Caesar bed (8ft wide by 7ft 3ins long) the biggest in Edinburgh. Hotel The Place is steeped in history, its buildings date from the early 19th Century. Their modern incarnation makes use of light and space, bringing the elegance of the past sensitively up to date. The cocktail bar is the ideal place for a drink before the show at the nearby Edinburgh Playhouse, whist the lounge and bar menu is both extensive and imaginative, with all dishes being freshly cooked to order. Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle are close by, whilst golf at St Andrews and Muirfield are within easy car journeys.
