Noise from a music concert intruded into the meeting rooms and was distracting. The meeting rooms were uncomfortably cold and it seemed to be impossible to regulate the temperature. Similarly a guest who wanted to use the swimming pool was unable to do so because it was much too cold, and was disappointed with the changing and shower arrangements. .
The hotel's furnishings are beginning to show their age and signs of wear and tear, the decoration of the bedrooms and the bathrooms is in need of freshening and renewal. In one of the bathrooms the lack of a plug, and a towel rail hanging off the wall did not impress.
