The rooms had nice decor and perks like a mini-bar stocked with new products each day, reviewers said. The bathroom described as “stylish” also had under floor heating -- a cool detail that delighted customers.

Several visitors commented that the hotel had a London or New York feel with excellent music and a youthful vibe -- especially at the hotel bar. They said it was a welcome break from the generic, chain hotels.

Guests liked that Story Hotel Riddargatan served a Scandinavian breakfast with yoghurts, Swedish breads, meats, coffee and tea. The breakfast is served for longer hours during weekends allowing visitors to get a bite after sleeping in.

If you forgot your toiletries, don't expect the hotel to be able to help you. The hotel does do not stock items like toothbrush, toothpaste or Q-tips, and there's no option to buy them either at the front desk, reviewers wrote.

Depending on where your room is, you might get a blast of music and party noise from the hotel bar and the street. The hotel is located on a bustling street with restaurants, bars and traffic, so the noise can be disruptive - even on weekdays. Try to get a room on one of the higher floors, guests warn.

Be forewarned, there is no one at the reception desk to check you in and out, guests say. Some people were stunned that they had to check themselves in using a computer and sometimes, the program would crash.
