Guests complimented the various facilities on offer at the hotel including the indoor and outdoor pools which were said to be clean and heated to an adequate temperature. Many enjoyed using the steam rooms and Jacuzzi as well as the gym which was said to be well-equipped. The games room features full size snooker and pool tables which provided added entertainment for guests.
The traditional English breakfasts have been complimented by many guests who said that they were tasty and made using fresh local ingredients such as mushrooms and sausages. The portions were said to be generous and were served piping hot. There was also a buffet with a wide range of items on offer including cereals and yogurts.
Many guests used the hotel as a base to visit some of the numerous sight-seeing attractions nearby. The Lulworth Cove is easily reachable from the hotel as it is only a 19-minute drive away and many also took advantage of the hotel’s location and visited the nearby Monkey World.
Soundproofing was said to be non-existent as many guests complained about not being able to sleep due to hearing noise from the corridors as well as the adjoining rooms. Walls were described as very thin with guests objecting to hearing the conversations as well as the plumbing from the neighbouring suites.
The hotel decor left some guests unimpressed particularly the bar and the dining rooms which were described as quite dated and in need of modernisation.
Some guests experienced problems when using the showers as they found it difficult to control the temperature whilst others objected to the noisy plumbing particularly when the toilets where flushed.
