As this family-run bed and breakfast sources their produce from local fisheries and suppliers, quality and taste far surpass usual standards of fine dining. From midday well into the evening, an A la carte menu is debuted in the restaurant. Permitting panoramic views of the outstretching bay, an assortment of imported wines and hand-pulled ales are available for purchase in the bar.

Those convenient amenities with which one grows fondly accustomed are nestled into every facet of the Richmond Hotel experience. Complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits await your arrival, while free Wi-Fi and on-site parking provide additional luxury. Baby monitors and fresh towels are available on request.

However comfortably furnished and warmly appointed, certain aspects of The Richmond Hotel have been reported in need of renovation. Among stained and faded bed linens, dusty curtains and dirty showers have detracted from the stay of previous residents.

While The Richmond provides guests with free on-site parking, some have reported difficulty in finding vacant parking spaces. Especially during busier seasons, guests may be forced to seek parking elsewhere. There are at least two 24-hour public parking areas within three blocks of the hotel, however.

This seaside bed and breakfast’s standard of cleanliness has not sat well with some residents. In addition to a musky scent which extends to most bedrooms and residents’ areas, hair underneath the mattresses, grime in the grouting of showers, and scuffed counter tops are a few grievances reported by guests.
