The hotel is a short walk away from the centre of Bath and many of the city’s tourist attractions. Those who wanted to dine out only had a short stroll to the nearest pubs and restaurants. If you like the idea of being in a quiet yet central location then you certainly won’t be disappointed.
Many guests were complimentary about the appearance of their rooms stating that they were tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. The large beds were appreciated by many as well as the ample storage space. The bathrooms were described as equally large with modern fixtures and fittings.
All the members of staff at the hotel from the reception personnel through to the bar- men have been described as very attentive and friendly. Guests were provided with helpful tips and information about the local area and found the staff very accommodating when it came to handling their requests.
Guests who wanted to make themselves a hot drink in their rooms were disappointed to find there were no tea and coffee making facilities. Although the hotel serves tea and coffee in the lounge between 8am and 8pm some guests who wanted a drink earlier or later than these times felt inconvenienced.
Those whose rooms were located at the front of the building said that they could hear traffic noise from the street below which prevented them from opening their windows in the evenings.
There are no air conditioning units in the hotel and guests who stayed here during warmer weather said that their rooms felt uncomfortably warm and stuffy. Fans were provided although some found them inadequate in cooling down their rooms.
