A few showers have an old, damp and musty smell. They are not up to a four star hotel's cleanliness standards with some guests complaining lamps falling apart. A few toilets were in a poor state and needed replacing.
The hotel is located on a busy street thus noise levels can be pretty high at times. If you are a light sleeper, it can get a bit uncomfortable due to noise coming from traffic, music bands in pubs and noisy at times a lot of people slamming doors.
In a few of the rooms the furniture is worn and almost looks as if it is about to fall apart. The curtains also seem to be incapable of fully shutting in a few rooms.
