Guests say the rooms at the hotel are fairly large and kept in good condition. Visitors add the accommodations are relatively clean and have enough amenities to make sure you are comfortable during your stay.

Carlsbad Caverns National Park is 30-minutes away from the property and guests note the hotel's location makes it easy to get there. These caves are famous around the world, and you can either take a guided tour with a park ranger or enjoy a self-guided tour. There are a few other state and national parks within driving distance of the hotel as well.

Visitors say the hotel's complimentary breakfast was nice and made sure you didn't worry about having to find something to eat in the morning. There is a selection of hot and cold items at the breakfast as well coffee, tea and juice.

The hotel is showing its age despite some recent renovations according to travelers who add some of the furnishing and carpets throughout the property are starting to appear old and worn.

Guests say encounters with the staff can be cumbersome as they tend have problems fulfilling requests. Visitors add some of the employees can be indifferent or rude towards you as well; however, not everyone working at the hotel acts this way.

Some visitors note that occasionally a few bugs could get into your room. While there wasn't an infestation, guests say that a cockroach or other stray bug could find its way into your room.
