Positive Reviews

positive:

Culinary delights.

Previous guests have been highly complimentary of the food served at the restaurant. Guests can select from a wide choice at breakfast and, for those choosing to sample the cuisine in the evenings, the menu is excellent, well-cooked and served with a smile.

positive:

Comfortable, clean accommodation.

Rooms are simply decorated in a modern style; with white walls, crisp linen and comfortable beds. In the bathrooms, guests can enjoy the large, fluffy bath towels and the complimentary toiletries supplied.

positive:

Full of character.

In stark contrast to most budget-friendly bed and breakfasts, Milsoms is set in a building full of character. No, not all walls are straight, floorboards creak in places and there are several steps to access some rooms but, for most guests, these quirks all add to its charm.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Choose your room wisely.

Being an older building, the layout is somewhat unconventional and, as such, room sizes and set-ups do vary; not all have showers and many have doubles rather than king size beds.

negative:

Too warm for some.

The hotel does not have air conditioning and, during the Summer months, rooms can get warm; with those in the eaves affected the most. You can, of course, crack a window, but you may find the traffic noise from the road below disruptive.

negative:

The downsides to popularity.

Loch Fyne Restaurant is popular with both visitors and locals, alike. Unfortunately, with this popularity, comes some downsides for guests. Parking is limited and, if your arrival time coincides with dinner service, you are likely to experience problems finding a spot. If you'd like to dine during your stay you'll also need to book in advance- they do get rather busy.
