The hotel is just a short stroll away from La Jolla Cove meaning that guests had easy access to the beach which many found very convenient. The center of the village is also within walking distance and many guests said that they did not need to drive for the duration of their stay as everything they needed was close by.
The outdoor pool proved popular with guests who said that they enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable loungers whilst soaking up the rays. The evening entertainment of live music was also greatly appreciated. Guests who visited the on-site spa for treatments said that they were very pleased with the level of service they received.
Guests complimented the food at both the restaurants stating that it was fresh and tasty as well as being nicely presented. The dining room has wonderful views of the ocean which was also greatly appreciated by many as well as the prompt and courteous service.
The air-conditioning units have been described as being quite old and dated with guests objected to the loud noise produced by the units when switched on. Many said that they were too hot at night as they were reluctant to switch on the air-conditioning due to the noise.
