Guests love how close the hotel is to area attractions. SeaWorld and the Valley View Casino Center are both less than five minutes away, and Old Town, Belmont Park and the airport are also just a short trip from the hotel.

There is an abundance of dining choices in the area. Embargo Grill, Fairouz Restaurant and Gallery and the famous Phil's BBQ offer guests a variety of different regional cuisines to enjoy, or if you would prefer something to grab and go, there is a Vons grocery store just a block away.

The Wyndham Garden San Diego is designed with families in mind. The game room will appeal to younger travelers, while the hotel pool can give the whole family a chance to unwind and soak up the sun. The hotel also offers family suites, featuring a king bed for the parents and bunk beds for the kids.

Many guests complained that the hotel and guestrooms were not clean. The carpets in particular need to be replaced, while other guests mentioned that the bedding seemed dirty and rather worn out. Some also noted that housekeeping only came to the room sporadically.
