Vineyard Hacienda was built in the 1930's and is based on a two acre vineyard in San Diego, USA. It has a lot of Spanish inspired designs and is 30 minutes’ drive from Karl Strauss Brewing Company. Each of the five elegant, individually styled rooms are equipped with flat-screen television with premium channels, refrigerator and coffeemaker. En suite bathrooms are provided with shower and free toiletries. Some rooms have desks and one room has a balcony. Parking and Wi-Fi are complimentary. Services like concierge, luggage storage, fax and airport shuttle can be availed by the guests. There is an outdoor pool, library, sun terrace and Jacuzzi, and lovely grounds with fruit trees. An underground wine cellar and room for ageing barrels is featured. Complimentary continental breakfast is served every morning. Few restaurants are located close by. San Diego International Airport is 20 miles and Steele Canyon Golf club is three miles away from Vineyard Hacienda.
All the staff members were very courteous and helpful, providing top notch service, say guests. The hosts greet the guests and give them a mini tour of the house and the grounds on their arrival. Guests also received very good suggestions on local places to visit and enjoyed tasting the wine. The staff has been unanimously lauded for excellent service.
There are five rooms that are done up in a Spanish style. They are well furnished and have all the basic amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests loved the beautiful grounds. The resort has its own natural water well and yummy fruit trees. The pool is also clean. Guests said they could relax in the library and have a good read.
The hotel is located away from the noise and rumble of the city, yet close to all the local places of attraction and shopping, making the location ideal say guests. It is a short drive from downtown San Diego on CA 94. Guests loved the restaurants around the hotel. Nature enthusiasts loved the hiking trails too.
The complimentary breakfast could have been of better standards as per some guests. It mostly consisted of toast, coffee, fresh fruit and packaged yogurt. These are simply laid out and guests are required to help themselves.
Absence of an air conditioner caused a lot of inconvenience to some guests as the rooms got very hot and stuffy.
