Hotel Villa Marina (Ensenada, Mexico)

The location of this hotel is so close to all the best parts of the town of Ensenada. The hotel overlooks the marina area, with cruise and other ships coming and going constantly. Shops, restaurants, and bars are all within easy walking distance.

Since this hotel is one of the tallest in the area, the views from practically every room are spectacular. One side overlooks the marina and the other side overlooks the quaint and bustling town. For those on lower floors, the view of the pool is also quite pretty. Don't miss the chance to visit the bar on the upper floors for even better views.

While many hotels in the area have higher prices, the cost in this hotel is quite competitive. It's a good deal for what you receive in the way of personal service and clean and comfortable rooms. Plus, the location lets you be up close to the busy action, but away from the noise when you want a good night's sleep.

The rooms and features of this hotel are outdated and some are just old and broken. Often, the elevators don't work at all and the stairs are rickety. The railings on the balcony are shaky and feel unsafe. Plus, the TVs have no remotes and few channels.

The accommodations and room features are no more than average, in even the nicest rooms. While far from luxury, most items are functional. Don't expect more than a basic stay in every way.
