Hotel Torres de Oboe (Benidorm, Spain)

The apartments are brand new, immaculately maintained and very spacious. The complex is quiet at night and in the early morning, providing much needed peace to guests.

The location is good for the beach, shopping, dining and socialising say guests. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants. The old town is ten minutes' walk away and the new town is five. The ‘strip' for nightlife, bars etc. is five minutes away.

There is a full-sized cooker, microwave, refrigerator and a washing machine and dryer in the apartments, which is great for families with children, say guests.

There is no reception in the aparthotel to the dismay of guests, so keys must be collected from the office that is located on Europa Avenue, beside where the airport bus drops and picks up passengers. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 13:30 and 16:30 to 20:00. Outside office hours, the keys and instructions are left with the car park attendant. Guests have found that it's important to ring in advance if arriving out of office hours. The office number and an emergency mobile number for an administrator are in the communication email and on the accommodation voucher. An advance call will clarify matters about key collection, which should be done before going to the apartments.

Sun loungers are not allowed around the pool, which is disappointing for guests who enjoy poolside relaxation.

Guests who don't speak Spanish have had Check-in difficulties because the staff is not English speaking. As English is considered a link language by some non-English speakers, the absence of English speaking staff could be a problem.
