Terra Mitica is a large theme park located on the outskirts of Benidorm on Spain’s famous Costa Blanca coast. When it opened in 2000 Paramount Parks initially operated it but after they went bankrupt in 2004, a private company subsequently purchased the park in 2006 and they still operate it today. Prior to 2008 the park was divided into five main areas. These were called Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia and the Islands but in 2008 two new areas called Antalya and Ocionia were added. A new area of shops and fast food outlets was also added in 2008. Terra Mitica contains a total of 25 different rides including several rollercoasters and water rides, examples of some of the water rides include The Giant Splash, Log Flume and the Rapids Water Ride. There are also daily displays and shows with live actors that take place throughout the park. Admission fees and opening times are available on the website although access to the shops and fast food outlets is free of charge. Terra Mitica is open daily between March and December.
