The Wight Mouse Inn is located on the Isle of Wight in Chale, United Kingdom. It gives great views over the English Channel and is close to Ventnor. Majority of the guests loved the food served at the onsite restaurant. Guests who had their Christmas lunch found the food to be a first class one. The main menu as well as the specials had plenty of choices. Along with being delicious, the portions were also more than enough. The full English breakfast was also very well cooked with a huge spread.
The staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. They were very informative about the places that can be visited by the guests. Being thorough professionals helped the staff to be very attentive towards each and every concern of the guests. There was not a single staff member who was not happy doing his job, which went a long way in making the guests feel at home.
Many guests felt that staying at this inn was totally worth all the money paid. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It had comfortable beds and was well-equipped with coffee, chocolate biscuits, free toiletries and hair dryer. The live music in the pub was also something that the guests looked forward to.
Since the walls of the rooms were very thin, the guests could hear a lot of noise from the other rooms as well as the pub downstairs. Better soundproofing of rooms would have helped to cut down the noise levels.
Few guests had some difficulty in taking bath as the water pressure in the shower was very poor and the water was trickling drop by drop. Sinks also did not drain very well.
Some handicapped guests found it difficult to reach the top floors as there were no elevators. Similarly, it was a Herculean task for guests with loads of luggage to reach the top floors.
