Convenient to the downtown attractions of Savannah by complimentary ferry rides offered every twenty minutes, this locale with its balcony views over the harbor is a gem. For golfers especially, the greens and grounds here are lush and meticulously-maintained. The pool is refreshing and the bar has a great atmosphere. Don't miss the boat ride to Daufuskie Island for a self-guided golf cart tour and white sand beaches, or the stunning Festival of Lights in December. Parking is included with some room rates - check this for clarity at booking.

Clean with quality amenities and breathtaking views (especially from upper levels) over the river or golf course. Beds are comfortable and temperature is optimally-controlled. Excellent showers.

Friendly and charming staff will create an ideal stay, assuring even personalized attention to detail. Anniversaries and other celebrations are often met with complimentary champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. Any inconveniences will surely receive the manager's attention and a suitable recompense. A class act.

You might want to factor in a few extra bucks than usual for items like using the computer in the business center, valet service, Wi-Fi fees, breakfast and bell hops. They are generally pricier here than you might think.

Some felt the decor could use a refurb and others were disappointed their room lacked a refrigerator. Linens were stained and some found hairs lingering in their bathroom from the prior guests. The nearby paper mill sometimes exudes a bit of an unpleasant smell which can find its way into the hotel at times as well.

Double check your sheets and pillowcases just in case; there weren't many reports of bed bug issues at this location, but even one is enough to raise concern.
