Accommodation ranges from beds in a dormitory with shared bathroom to private en-suite rooms with all the modern conveniences, from air conditioning to flat screen TV’s. A shared kitchen is available to use for those who are looking to cook their own meals. The hostel takes security very seriously, and has installed CCTV in all public areas. Wi-Fi is free of charge and available throughout the building. While there’s no restaurant or café onsite, there’s certainly no shortage of them nearby, with some of Sydney’s trendiest dining to be had in Bondi Beach and surrounds. Because of its amazing central location, The Village Bondi Beach is the perfect spot for those who want to experience not only the beach, but also the streetlife and nightlife of Bondi Beach.
According to the reviews, the hotels main selling point is simply that it is not only in Bondi Beach, the suburb, but that it very close to the actual beach itself. Guests loved being able to walk to what is arguably Australia's most famous beach. Together with the proximity of the cafes, bars and other amenities, it made them feel like they were in the very centre of city's action.
Considering that Wi-Fi is something guests rarely comment on, unless it is really bad, it was surprising to find many guests complimenting the hostel's Wi-Fi, saying that it was both reliable and more than fast enough for their purposes.

While not a universal complaint, there were still far too many guests who experienced cleanliness issues during their stay. “Grubby” was a word used a couple of times, with the bathrooms being perhaps the area were guests were most concerned about a lack of cleanliness.
Quite a number of guests reported that they found the staff to be, if not exactly unfriendly, somewhat disengaged. It seems that many guests were hoping to find a friendly and cheerful hostel vibe but instead found the place to be a little too “corporate” to really have that feel.
