Positive Reviews

positive:

Convenient location with car

Although a car would be of great benefit here, with transport in place, previous guests have tended to find the location of the hotel fairly convenient. Being able to reach the CBD area in around 30 minutes has proved particularly appealing.

positive:

Friendly service from staff

Overall, guests have found the staff here is friendly and welcoming. Even those guests who have been less impressed with other aspects of the hotel have generally encountered no disappointments concerning the standard of service offered at the property.

positive:

Reasonably priced meals

Previous guests have often noted that they found the cost of on-site dining and drinks reasonable. The focus of this hotel does appear to be the restaurant and bar so it seems that you can expect enjoyable meals at an attractive price.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Poor quality rooms

The quality of the rooms here are often a source of disappointment to guests. The rooms are typically found to be clean (with the exception of the carpets) but the level of maintenance is said to be poor.

negative:

Noise levels can be high

Although very few reviews suggest that traffic noise is a problem here, the same cannot be said about noise coming from the bar. Guests mention having to turn up their TV to drown out the noise, while also noting that people can become rowdy when leaving the bar.

negative:

Limited public transport

The location of this hotel has proved convenient to guests who have their own transport. Those that have relied on public transport have been less impressed, complaining that these options are limited and complex. An example given was that a guest had to take four separate bus/train journeys to reach Bondi Beach.
