The Sydney Opera House can be reached by bus or within 30-minutes on foot if you take the scenic route and walk through the Sydney Botanical Gardens. Local shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a Coles supermarket are a short walk away. Within ten-minutes’ walk you can reach Hyde Park, Kings Cross train station and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Circular Quay, Sydney Harbour and the ferry station to Manly can be reached within 20-minutes by public transport.

The staff are friendly welcoming and helpful. They are also knowlegeable about the local area and are able provide tourist information and assistance. The hostel has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with guests socialising together, and on Friday nights staff organise a movie night with free pizza provided.

Guests reported that the hostel is a quiet and cosy one that provides good value for money. The rooms are well presented with comfortable beds and clean bedding. Guests who wish to self cater have use of a fully equipped kitchen and a free breakfast is also offered.

While free Wi-Fi service is offered, the connection is unreliable and reports were made about the Wi-Fi being slow.

Guests reported that the communal areas including the lounge area and kitchen were small and not always well equipped to cater to the number of guests. Guests also reported that the bedrooms are small and may feel cramped to some.

The cleaning service is not always reliable, and reports have been made that the common areas, particularly the kitchen and bathroom facilities are poorly maintained.
