Sutherland House is located in the centre of Southwold and is one of the town's most important and historic buildings. It provides a comfortable base of great character, with excellent cuisine for its guests. All the non-smoking rooms are en-suite and have a hair dryer, flat screen TV, ISDN line and telephone. The fish restaurant, which is a major part of the establishment, has been awarded two AA stars, and the menus show that the owners take great pride in sourcing food locally, and in season, growing many of the vegetables themselves. Southwold Lighthouse is a great family attraction.
