Hotel Standard Design (Paris, France)

The hotel is just a few minutes from two metro stations. The Bastille station can get you to most of the city’s main attractions. Many sites are also easily accessible on foot if the weather is cooperating.

Guests like that the hotel is in the Bastille area which isn’t very touristy but has plenty of shops, restaurants and fun bars. They also say they feel safe walking in the area at any time of day or night.

The staff here gets high marks for friendliness, professionalism and attention to guests’ needs. Guests who don’t speak French appreciate the multi-lingual staff.

Business travellers may find it hard to work without a desk and the Wi-Fi can be very slow. Rooms can also be noisy from the street below and rooms nearby.

While the funky concept of the hotel looks interesting, some guests say it appears function wasn't a top priority in the design. Rooms are individually decorated but they can be oddly shaped and not very functional. Some guests say the furnishings aren't top quality, but the rooms are clean and tidy,

Rooms in Paris are notoriously small but some guests say even the beds are tiny in this hotel. Tall guests may find themselves struggling to fit on a single bed.
