This large inn-type accommodation is situated in Southbourne, a peaceful suburb of Bournemouth located about three miles east of the resort's centre. Cliff top views, hearty pub meals and friendly service are the Spyglass & Kettle's chief assets. The hotel has eight en-suite guest rooms. The Spyglass & Kettle is just across the road form the cliff top so there are some stunning views of the sea and coast to be had from the garden and some of the guest rooms. On a clear day you can even see the Isle of Wight.
As you would expect, the food here is good hearty fayre, with everything from a butchers choice, sharers, mains and burgers to lighter bites of jacket potatoes and sandwiches served up right throughout the day. There's a really good selection of local ales proffered at the bar too. Top Tip: try a pint of 'Ringwood Old Thumper'!

There is no allocated parking for hotel guests; you just have to take your chances with finding a space in the normal pub car park. If the general car park is full then you should still be able to find a free space in the surrounding residential streets.
The guest rooms are located directly above the main pub/restaurant area so you can expect a certain degree of hubbub to filter up into your accommodation during the evenings. It's worth bearing in mind that the pub hosts live bands most Friday and Saturday nights.
