About Sinai House

Sinai House was built in 1850 as a gentleman’s residence for the Lord Mayor of London. It became a hotel in the 1930’s and a guest house in the 1960’s. The house is built into the hillside of Sinai Hill so offers the most incredible sea views over to the coast of Wales and across to Exmoor, Countersbury Hill and Big Red. We have 8 rooms in total, 5 for double occupancy and 3 single. The guest lounge is quiet and relaxing overlooking the sea from both windows, with a library, games, large comfy chairs and sofas. Breakfast is served in the Dining room with sea views. The bar is very well stocked with local ales, ciders and a selection of wines. Off the lounge and dining room is a large balcony where guests can sit out with a coffee or a jug of Pimms. The gardens are very secluded and terraced with seating areas. Lynton is a quaint, unspoilt village perched over 500ft above Lynmouth, where Exmoor meets the sea. Sinai House is situated 100ft above the town so all the amenities are close by. AA 4-star Silver Rating. Lynton, or ‘Little Switzerland’ offers peace and tranquility to enjoy. Sinai House has its own parking for 7 cars. Sorry no pets or children.
