Positive Reviews
positive:
Perfect planning.
The hotel staff have a knack for perfectly timing things, and one thing well-planned is the airport collection and guest check-in. Guests who are leaving their arrival planning up to the hotel staff to plan, will not be disappointed with the efficiency and overall good planning.
positive:
Beautiful designs.
The rooms are most definitely the highlight of one's stay at Hotel Selman. Guests can look forward to a very unique and beautifully designed room, with a long list of amenities and features to keep one in the lap of comfort for the entirety of their stay.
positive:
Specialty staff.
The chef at the Selman Restaurant trained in Japan, so is able to offer guests a great meal of sushi, which is reasonably priced, even if it is a somewhat limited menu option. The head bartender also takes pride in his work and is able to whip up a divine cocktail based on what flavours guests may enjoy.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Don't leave the table.
When dining at the Pavillion, guests should know that the busyness of the restaurant may lead to one's table being cleared if guests decide to go for a stroll mid-meal. If a stroll to see the horses is desired, guests had best wait until they have finished eating, or ensure they have let a staff member know.
negative:
Booking issues.
Guests are encouraged to ensure that any reservations they make while staying at Hotel Selman, are followed up on, and that even triple checking to ensure no disappointment, as unfortunately, a lack of communication between staff and facility staff members seems to be a running theme.
negative:
Service could be better.
Inconsistent service has a way of dampening one's spirit, and leave one frustrated. Most days, guests are treated to wonderful, competent service, but on others, the staff seem to be overrun, and not well-informed on how to properly serve at a five-star hotel.
