Hotel Red Roof Inn San Antonio - Airport (San Antonio, USA)

Many guests stayed at this hotel for its convenience to San Antonio International Airport. Although shuttle service is no longer offered, guests said the staff were happy to arrange for cabs, a service appreciated by most.

Early check-in, attention to detail and the friendly and accommodating staff were among the things guests liked most about this hotel. Guests cited individual instances in which staff members went out of their way to be of assistance and some said this made all the difference to their stay.

For most guests, this hotel offered clean and comfortable accommodations and good value. They described the rooms as quiet and well maintained and most found it satisfactory for a night or two.

The Red Roof Inn does not offer a complimentary breakfast and this was a problem for some guests who felt there should at least have been muffins or doughnuts. The lack of vending machines didn't help much.

Guests reported a number of housekeeping issues including dirty and sticky carpets, stained sheets, rooms that weren't properly vacuumed and marks and stains on the walls. Some guests said the rooms smelled of smoke, stale food, or mildew.

While the Red Roof Inn is a budget motel, some guests found it a bit too minimal and complained about the lack of toiletries and tissues in the bathrooms and no microwaves, refrigerators or coffee makers in the rooms. While upgraded rooms offers these items, some guests felt they should be standard.
