Guests commented that the hotel provides comfortable, newly renovated accommodation at value for money prices. The rooms are simply furnished, clean and well presented with comfortable beds, a large flat-screen TV and conveniences such a fridge, microwave and complimentary in-room tea and coffee. Pets are also welcome and guests have easy access to an outdoor area for pets.

Guests commented that the front desk staff were friendly and and often went above and beyond to provide assistance and make their stay comfortable. The front desk is open 24-hours a day and staff are available to answer questions, provide local information and give directions.

Red Roof Inn Houston - Brookhollow offers smoking as well as non-smoking rooms. Some guests who had booked into a non-smoking room complained that their room smelled of stale cigarette smoke.Unreliable Wi-Fi connection.

Housekeeping staff can be unreliable in the attention that they give each room. On occasion guests have found rubbish in their room which was left from the precious occupants. Some guests also found hair in their bed sheets and stains along the hallway carpet.

Wi-Fi access is free, however some guests reported that the connection is unstable and at times the Wi-Fi is difficult to stay consistently connected to.
