Hotel Quality Inn Mount Vernon (Alexandria, USA)

For those who want to explore the Washington DC and Alexandria areas, this hotel provides a great location. It is also close to Mount Vernon. For those who want to go into the city, it's only minutes to the metro. The quick access to a major road is nice, yet the quieter location away from all the noise and traffic headaches of the busy metropolitan area is even better.

The hotel provides an overall nice stay with comfortable and spacious rooms. The WiFi works well and there is even a nice pool. Breakfast has both hot and cold items. You get all this at a much cheaper price than surrounding competitor hotels.

The staff does an excellent job of wearing smiles while having kind and pleasant attitudes. The breakfast attendant keeps the bar refreshed and fully-stocked for the whole breakfast session and there is even a lifeguard at the pool.

The rooms have not been renovated or remodeled in quite some time. Everything in the rooms are functional, just not fabulous. The decor has no modern touches and the furniture is worn and scuffed.

The immediate area seems to have more than its fair share of sketchy looking pedestrians and this makes the area seem questionable for those who might want to get out and explore. There is frequent police presence in the area and the hotel provides an armed guard at night. This is not a hotel where walking to eat or shop is recommended.

The hotel rooms have unpleasant and musty odors that can be overpowering at times. This might come from the stained and dirty carpets throughout the premises. Many guests also complain of blood stains on bedding and floors.
